Ocean freight remains stable globally amidst constrains – Report

Ocean freight across all regions of the world has remained stable despite some pressure and constraints.

This was contained in the Ocean Freight Port Situation Update for the month of June 2026 released by DHL.

Some of the constraints listed were recurring delays, localized congestion, tight capacity, etc.

The regional port highlights as follows:

Americas
Across the Americas, port operations remain generally stable but under moderate pressure, with recurring delays, localized congestion, and some equipment and inland constraints, alongside a few areas experiencing more severe disruptions.

Europe
Across Europe, port operations are broadly stable but constrained, with tight capacity in the north and localized pressures in the south, as vessel schedule volatility and inland bottlenecks continue to drive intermittent congestion and limit fluidity.

Middle East & Africa
Across the Middle East & Africa, operations are under notable strain, with severe congestion and extended delays in several areas—particularly in the Gulf and East Mediterranean—amid ongoing regional instability, ,while parts of the African Atlantic coast remain comparatively stable with only localized disruptions.

Asia-Pacific
Across Asia Pacific, port operations are largely stable and fluid, with minimal disruption overall and only localized pockets of moderate congestion and short delays.
