Bellington EPT opens Kano office

Bellington Export Processing Terminal has gone a top notch in its determination to consummate the Federal Government Export policy drive with the opening of its Kano office in Kano State on 4th October 2024.

Located in Dawanu, the Nort West central marketing hub for agricultural produce and all manner of merchandise, the new Bellington EPT will serve as a pivot for the import-export trade, facilitating freight forwarding from the region to the ports of Lagos and vice versa.

” We are very happy to be here at the very heart of commerce in North West of Nigeria.  Kano is the hub of commerce for centuries,  a very hardworking and productive people.  In terms of logistics, trade facilitation and wealth creation,  Bellington Cargo will come in useful for the people of this region. Afterall,  our common goal is to achieve prosperity for Nigeria and all stakeholders,” noted Mallam Adamu Danbatta, a top management staff who supervises the project in Kano. 

Corroborating Danbatta, Oludipe Babatunde who heads the Human Resources department,  said that the Kano office will encourage exporters and produce merchants. “Our presence in Kano is a welcome development  for exporters and freight forwarders of that region as the Bellington’s mission aligns with the national vision to redirect Nigeria from an import dependent economy into  a recognised export oriented one. l commend the Nigerian Ports Authority for this bold and patriotic initiative,” he enthused.

It could be recalled that the Nigerian Ports Authority about five years ago had licensed a few terminals as Export Processing Centres. Among them was Bellington EPT.
