IATA commends FAAN over improvements at Nigerian airports

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has commended the management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) over significant improvements at Nigerian airports and attributed the improvements to the dedication of the FAAN to maintaining high standards of safety, security, and passenger experience.

The Vice-President for Africa and the Middle East of IATA, Mr. Kamil Alawadhi, gave the commendation when he visited the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, on 15 October 2024, at FAAN Headquarters in Lagos.

The meeting the two leaders focused on enhancing collaboration between IATA and FAAN to strengthen partnerships that promote the sustainable growth of Nigeria’s Aviation industry.

Discussions also covered infrastructure development and further opportunities for cooperation.
