The two leading airports in Nigeria – Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Abuja and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos – have been recertified by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The Acting Director-General of Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo, presented both certificates to the Managing Director/CEO of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, during a brief ceremony at the NCAA Headquarters in Abuja.

Najomo stated that the recertification of the airports, after meeting stringent conditions, marks a significant milestone in aviation safety and security. The previous accreditation for both airports expired in 2020.
