Media award presentation for CGC postponed

The media award dinner slated for Thursday, January 16, 2025 in honour of the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has been postponed.

The award, put together by Nigeria Maritime Journalists (NMJ), a body of all media practitioners in the maritime subsector, is in recognition of unprecedented achievements of the Comptroller General in the areas of trade facilitation, enviable interagency collaborators, capped by a breathtaking revenue generation.

A statement by the Chairman, Organising Committee, Mr. Dele Aderibigbe, said the postponement was compelled by circumstances beyond the control of the organisers.

The statement, while stressing that a new date would soon be announced, deeply regrets any inconvenience the unexpected postponement must have cause invited guests .
