The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has vowed to terminate operational licenses of concessionaires caught engaging in touting activities within the airport.

FAAN also said is ready to take drastic measures against unauthorized businesses operating along airport access routes.

The Managing Director/CEO of FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, gave this warning while addressing business partners, concessionaires, service providers and regulators, at a stakeholders engagement forum in Lagos.

The theme was Strengthening Partnerships for Sustainable Growth and Development.

Kuku revealed that engagements were already ongoing with Lagos State Government to clear unauthorized tankers and illegal businesses obstructing airport corridors.

“We cannot have businesses lining the airport roads in an unorganized and insecure manner,” she said, pointing out that security and access control within terminal buildings are also receiving attention.

Kuku reassured stakeholders that FAAN remains committed to fostering an enabling environment for business growth and profitability while ensuring that passengers receive the best possible service experience.
