Nigeria Shippers’ Council urges staff to embrace digitization to improve service delivery

The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Dr. Pius Akutah, has urged staff leverage the Council’s digitization drive to improve efficiency in service delivery.

Akutah stated this at a comprehensive training program organized by the Council for its staff on the adoption and implementation of the Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS).

While enjoining the staff to embrace the new initiative, the Executive Secretary stressed the importance of adaptability, noting that the success of the system depends on how quickly staff integrate it into their daily operations.

With this investment in capacity building, the Council is positioning itself to achieve greater efficiency, transparency, and innovation in its operations, key drivers of its long-term vision for organizational growth, and improved service delivery.

The aim of the training was to equip staff with technical skills required to effectively operate the system, streamline document management, and improve workflow. This will help to boost operational efficiency thereby, reduce administrative bottlenecks and enhance overall productivity.

The training will also enable staff to provide timely access to information, thereby strengthening service delivery to stakeholders.
