MWUN President General visits and commends NPA MD over Nigeria’s victory at IMO Council election

The President General of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has visited and felicitated the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, over the recent election of Nigeria into the Category C of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Council.

Comrade Bunu, who was accompanied by members of his executive, described the feat for Nigeria and the maritime sector as laudable and a giant one, saying “it is a bold and fruitful step that has been achieved so far for the progress and advancement of Nigeria’s maritime industry.”

Comrade Bunu Abi said the essence of the visit was to introduce the new leaders of the Union to the NPA boss, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho.

He pointed out that both the Union and the Nigerian Ports Authority are partners in progress in the maritime sector; hence both organizations could nowork in isolation.

Welcoming the visitors, Dr. Dantsoho assures the Union leaders and his executives of a continual working synergy in the sector to make the country’s maritme industry a hub of activities both locally and globally.
