NANTA is crucial to safety and comfort of Nigeria’s air passengers – Najomo

The Director-General of Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo, says the active engagements of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have contributed to the safety and comfort of Nigeria’s air passengers.

Captain Chris Najomo commended NANTA as a key stakeholder in the aviation industry at the sensitization training for NANTA members on the newly launched DATR portal in Lagos recently.

The training was hosted by the NCAA’s Directorate of Air Transport Regulation (DATR).

Represented by Mrs. Ajijola Esther.O ,General Manager of Allied Services & Economic Oversight (AS&EO), stated that the portal is designed to streamline operations, enhance integrity, data accuracy, and provide a secure, cloud-based platform for seamless application, registration, licensing, etc.

Speaking at the training, the Director of Air Transport Regulation (DATR), Mrs. Olayinka Babaoye, reiterated that the initiative is crucial for digitalising stakeholder interactions and simplifying daily regulatory processes.

A key segment of the event was a practical demonstration of the DATR Portal by the Consultant, Perth Partners, who was led by its Project Manager, Mr. Kabiru Sambo.
