Keyamo, Aviation Capital Group, other talk on aircraft leasing and financing

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Barrister Festus Keyamo, has further demonstrated the desire of the ministry of reducing air fares and enhancing connectivity by holding meetings with Alton Aviation Consultancy, a global aviation consulting firm, and Aviation Capital Group (ACG), a leading U.S.-based aircraft lessor, on aircraft leasing and financing for local airline operators.

Festus Keyamo outlined this development on X, saying he met the two aviation players on the sidelines of the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers Conference in Dublin, Ireland.

According to him, “on the sidelines of the ongoing Airline Economics Growth Frontiers Conference in Dublin, Ireland, my team and I met with the team from Alton Aviation Consultancy, a global aviation consulting firm with a major office located in Dublin. They provide transactional and strategic advice to the aviation and aerospace industry.

“We also met with the team from Aviation Capital Group (ACG), a leading U.S.-based aircraft lessor with an impressive global portfolio and strong interest in the Nigerian Aviation market.

“Discussions centred around strategies for aircraft leasing and financing, fleet expansion and modernisation for our local operators in Nigeria. This is aimed at ultimately reducing fares for passengers in Nigeria and enhancing connectivity.”
