ACG Visitation: DC Adigun pledges to align KLT operations with Customs’ broader vision

The Acting Customs Area Controller of the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Area Command, Deputy Comptroller Bolaji Lukman Adigun, has pledged to align all activities – revenue generation, enforcement, and trade facilitation – with the broader vision of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Deputy Comptroller Bolaji Lukman Adigun made this pledge when he hosted the Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs in charge of Zone A, Mohammed Babandede, who was on a strategic operational visit to the command  on Wednesday, 4th February 2026.

The Acting Customs Area Controller described the visit, which  was aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery within the Command, as timely, motivating and defining.

Addressing officers, ACG Babandede highlighted the importance of discipline, dedication, integrity and teamwork in performing their duties. He encouraged officers to stay vigilant, adapt to evolving trade and border management challenges, follow procedures diligently, and promote innovation and accountability in all operations.

ACG Babandede reviewed revenue operations, enforcement activities, and stakeholder engagement. He interacted with officers, observed daily operations, and provided guidance on strengthening performance and service delivery.

Deputy Comptroller Adigun noted that the ACG’s advice and observations would help sharpen operational focus and enhance service standards, assuring the ACG that the command would continue to improve its operations, support the objectives of the Service and safeguard the national economy while facilitating legitimate trade.
