Hiab, a leading provider of smart and sustainable on-road load handling solutions, is set to launch a suite of mission-ready logistics innovations at Eurosatory 2026, the global defence and security exhibition opening in Paris on 15 June.
Headlining Hiab’s presence at the exhibition are three groundbreaking technologies engineered for high-stakes environments: the MULTILIFT Talon hooklift, the HIAB 1622 ATF loader crane and the HIAB JMIC Top Handler.
This year’s exhibition also marks the operational debut of Hiab Defence Logistics (HDL), the new designation for Hiab’s long-standing Government Business Operations (GBO). Backed by the same veteran team of specialised experts, HDL builds on more than four decades of trusted partnership in enhancing global defence capabilities.
MULTILIFT Talon: The fully automated hooklift
When tactical operations demand speed, efficiency, and uncompromising crew safety, the MULTILIFT Talon delivers.
100 percent in-cabin operation: The innovative system allows a single operator to load or unload ISO containers and flatracks from the safety of a (protected) truck cabin.
We are proud to announce that TATRA Truck will be presenting the MULTILIFT Talon installed on their latest TATRA FORCE chassis (Hall 5A Stand K246, K256).
HIAB 1622 ATF-3: Compact powerhouse for tactical mobility
An evolution of the combat-proven HIAB 2222 ATF Loader Crane, the HIAB 1622 ATF Loader Crane combines heavy-duty lifting capacity with an exceptionally low profile and long outreach. Engineered to be strategic-mobility ready, the crane features a uniquely foldable column that makes it ideal for rail and air transport and truck cabs with a roof mounted weapon station.
Key performance and intelligence features include:
Unlimited slewing flexibility: Rated at 14.45 tm, delivering a maximum outreach of 8.3 m with a lifting capacity of 1,660 kg
Quick and accurate load handling: Stability Control and Crane Tip Control (CTC) allow crane operators to handle cargo with extreme accuracy and safety.
HIAB JMIC top handler: Maximizing logistical flow efficiencies
Defence and military logistics are heavily standardized around 20ft ISO containers and STANAG flatracks. By loading these with Joint Modular Intermodal Containers (JMIC) the logistical flow will be optimised. Hiab developed the HIAB JMIC Top Handler for handling these JMICs to increase the logistic flow efficiency. The JMIC Top Handlers provide:
Quick and safe JMIC container handling: When used in tandem with a loader crane;
Two versions: Available in a manual and a hydraulic version.
Both versions will be on display at the Eurosatory.
Hiab Defence Logistics provides comprehensive, start-to-finish operational support, encompassing complex system integration, full defence/military-grade documentation, specialised operator training and a robust, worldwide service network.
