BACCIMA appoints Director General, three other Directors

The Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) has appointed a new Director General and three other directors for the effective management of the chamber for the next two years.

Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris, the President and Chairman of the Executive Council of BACCIMA announced these appointments in a statement, saying the appointees came with wealth of knowledge and experience.

The appointed are Engineer Seton M Senu, FITD, Director General; Mr Adagba Whenu, Director of Information Technology; Mrs Racheal Eyitayo Ariori, Director of Human Resources, and Mrs Grace Laguda, Director of Benchmarking.

The Director General, Seton Senu, is the Chief Executive Officer of SO TechAfrica Ltd. He is a seasoned engineer, entrepreneur, and digital transformation advocate.

The Chamber President said “He brings over two decades of experience in business innovation, project management, trade facilitation, and SME development to drive the chamber to greatness.”

Mr Adagba Whenu, Director of Information Technology, is an experienced IT professional with a background in web development, digital strategy, and team leadership.

“As the new Director of IT of the Chamber, he brings a results-driven approach to digital transformation and operational efficiency,” said the President.

Mrs Racheal Eyitayo Ariori, Director of Human Resources, is an accomplished industrialist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of leadership in agro-processing, packaging, and enterprise development. A founder of training academies for entrepreneurs.

Mrs Grace Abosede Laguda, Director of Benchmarking, is an educationist per excellence and entrepreneur with over a decade in printing, sales and agriculture. She holds strategic posts in other organisations

The duty of the Director General and directors, according to Yahaya, includes providing strategic leadership in the planning and implementation of quality-based programs toward the growth of the chamber.

The President urged esteemed members of BACCIMA and the public to give the appointees the maximum support needed to effectively function in their new positions. He posited that other vacant Directorates would be filled as soon as possible.

“We are committed to stimulating investment opportunities for the region. We will continue to work with the Border Security Agencies such as Customs, Immigration and host of others, work with the ECOWAS Community States at ensuring that our members and compliance Cross Border traders enjoy exclusive networking and training opportunities.

“BACCIMA is a professional chamber of highly effective business leaders, committed to helping our members grow their businesses and influence the society positively,” he said, congratulating the newly appointed Directors and urged them to work harder.
