As children in Nigeria mark the 2025 Children’s Day today, the Maritime Police Command says it remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a safe, secure, and supportive environment where every Nigerian child can flourish, learn, and aspire toward greatness.
The AIG pledged the commitment while felicitation with Nigerian children on the Children’s Day today, May 27, 2025.
According to him, “children are the pride of every nation, the promise of a brighter tomorrow and our most cherished treasures. On this special occasion, we celebrate their innocence, nurture their dreams, and honour the hope they bring to our shores and the larger society.”
He also commended the remarkable efforts of the Ocean Ambassadors Foundation, a leading non-governmental organisation in the maritime sector and the visionary force behind the Educational Blue Economy initiative in Nigeria. Through their work, countless children are being inspired and exposed to rewarding career opportunities within the maritime industry.
“As we mark this Children’s Day, may it serve as a solemn reminder of our shared responsibility to nurture, protect, and empower our children—the joy of today and the leaders of tomorrow,” said AIG Garba.
