CRFFN is aligning regulatory framework with ICPC’s anti-corruption mandate – Registrar

The Registrar/CEO of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Mr. Kingsley Igwe, says the Council is poised of aligning its regulatory framework with the anti-corruption mandate of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Kingsley Igwe stressed the role of integrity, transparency, and teamwork in advancing the freight forwarding sector while sharing ongoing initiatives by CRFFN to enhance governance and operational efficiency.

The CRFFN Registrar stated this when he and his management team paid a visit to the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, at the ICPC headquarters in Abuja recently.

In his remarks, the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, commended CRFFN’s proactive engagement and highlighted the importance of ethical standards in regulatory operations. He affirmed ICPC’s commitment to supporting CRFFN through collaborative initiatives.

A key outcome of the visit was the agreement to initiate a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between both agencies, which will serve as a framework for joint initiatives, capacity building, and coordinated enforcement to promote accountability and professionalism within the freight forwarding industry.

This engagement marks an important step toward stronger institutional partnerships and a shared commitment to national development.
