C&S AGM: FG, States advised to collaborate on food security

The Federal Government of Nigeria has been advised to collaborate the state governments to set up farm settlements to ensure food security, create jobs and wealth for land owners across the country.

The government is also advised to fight corruption and reduce cost of governance by adopting the present six geopolitical zones as states.

His Most Eminence, The Most Elder Apostle/Prophet Dr. Solomon Adegboyega Alao JP, the Supreme Head of C&S Unification Church Worldwide, gave this counsel while addressing the media ahead of the Annual General Conference of the C&S at Love of Christ Generation Church, Lagos, today Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The AGM of the church, which takes place at Love of Christ Generation Church, Lagos, starts on Thursday, January 30 and ends on Saturday February 1, 2025. The theme is “Preparing the Church for the Set Time.”

Among guests expected are former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and Ooni of Ile Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

His Most Eminence Alao said “Proactive steps need to be initiated by the Federal Government in collaboration with all the state governments to ensure food security. Nigeria can feed the whole world by setting up agricultural settlements all over the sates with facilities to encourage back to farm operations. The immediate advantage of this are creation of jobs, and putting into the hands of land owners by leasing from them massive land all over the country that lay wasted.”

For the country to free from insecurity, Alao urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be proactive by ensuring that all the bad eggs in our security agencies flushed out and purchases and procurement of arms and other military equipment devoid of corruption.

He called for a tough legislation to deal with politicians who employ religious bigotry, tribalism or ethnicity to advance their selfish interests.

On the high rate of unemployment among the youth in thr countru, the Church Leader admitted that youth unemployment is a national phenomenal and advised the youth to embrace skills that are in demand. He maintained that products of the proposed Moses Orimolade University will be taught skills that will make them employable after leaving.

Speaking on the Church, His Eminence Alao has this to say “Our ultimate goal is to see C&S Unification Church of Nigeria becoming a-one indivisible virile Church with the constituent churches operating on only one certificate and one constitution under one leadership. With all efforts so far made, we are now zero tolerance of idolatry and fetish practices. The days of exposure of Aladura of the stomach infrastructure priests are numbered, hence the theme “Setting The Time.”

Rounding up, he urged the government to consider engaging religious leaders in the country in information desimination because “the religious leaders are now the better option because of their closeness to the masses.”
