Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Barrister Festus Keyamo has been honoured with the Workers Minister of the Decade Award during the 2026 National Pre-Retirement Summit in Abuja.

The ward was presented to him by Comrade Chief Godwin Abumisi, President of Nigeria Union of Pensioners and the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Comrade Joe Ajaero.

According to a post on X by the Minister, the organisers described the award as a reward for ‘outstanding leadership and commitment to workers’ issues.’

“Yesterday in Abuja, I was honoured to receive the WORKERS MINISTER OF THE DECADE AWARD during the 2026 National Pre-Retirement Summit. The Award was presented by a Labour veteran, Comrade Chief Godwin Abumisi, President of Nigeria Union of Pensioners and the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Comrade Joe Ajaero,” said Keyamo.
