Khalifa Bin Salman Port (KBSP) has directed all vessel calling at the port to maintain proper housekeeping standards with respect to lashing bars and related securing equipment.
A statement by APM Terminals Bahrain said the housekeeping Standards are in line with the terminal’s commitment to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
“It has been observed during several recent port calls that lashing bars were left scattered on deck rather than stowed in their designated storage areas. This creates significant safety hazards for terminal personnel and may also lead to operational delays.
“We therefore urge all vessel operators and crew members to ensure that lashing bars and securing equipment are always handled and returned to their designated stowage positions.
“Your cooperation in upholding these safety and operational standards is highly appreciated. Together, we can maintain a safe and efficient working environment for all,” said APM Terminals Bahrain
