LAAC honours SAHCO Chairman

The Chairman of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, has received the prestigious Aviation Visionary Investment Award.

The award was given to him by the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) at its 29th Annual Conference in Lagos recently.

Presenting the award to Vanessa Uansohia, Head of Corporate Communications at SAHCO, on behalf of the Chairman, LAAC Chairman, Mr. Idris Sulaiman, described Dr. Afolabi as a trailblazer in the ground handling sector, noting that he played a pivotal role in the establishment of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC, which has since grown to become one of the leading ground handling companies in Africa.

After receiving the award, Vanessa Uansohia expressed appreciation to LAAC for the recognition and reiterated the Chairman’s unwavering commitment to excellence.

This year’s conference, themed “Financing Aviation in Nigeria: Risks, Opportunities and Prospects”, attracted key stakeholders, policymakers, industry players, and aviation experts from across the country.
