Maritime Police, Customs pledge to enforce maritime law for economic stability.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Maritime Police Command, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba, has underscored the need for intensified joint operations and intelligence-driven patrols by government agencies as indispensable tools for safeguarding Nigeria’s maritime frontiers and enhancing national revenue security.
AIG Garba stated this when he received the Customs Area Controller of the Western Marine Command, Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Patrick N. Ntadi, who paid a courtesy visit to him at the Force Headquarters Annex, Kam Salem House, Obalende, Lagos on Monday, May 26, 2025.
AIG Garba advocated the continuous use of open and direct communication channels between both agencies to guarantee swift responses to emerging threats.
He reiterated that coordinated enforcement and sustained collaboration will remain at the core of the Command’s strategy for maritime law enforcement and economic stability.
