Miko assumes PTML Customs Command leadership, promises effective trade facilitation
The Acting Customs Area Controller of the PTML Command, Nigeria Customs Service, Lagos, Deputy Comptroller (DC) Nura Miko, has pledged that trade facilitation will be a top priority while working with officers and men of the command to achieve this.
The Acting Controller, DC Nura Miko, made this pledge while taking over the leadership of the command from Comptroller Joe Anani, the immediate past PTML Customs Area Controller, who is now in charge of Tin Can Island Command.
DC Miko said he was taking over from a respected senior colleague whom he described as a professional officer. He stressed that standards have been set and promised to consolidate them.
Performing the handing over, Comptroller Joe Anani described Deputy Comptroller Nura Miko as a core professional officer and assured him that he would be available for advice when needed.
He noted that Tin Can Island Port Command is only one kilometer away from PTML, hence the need for the newly appointed controller to consult him whenever the need arises on customs processes and procedures.
He added that his eight months as Customs Area Controller at PTML Command witnessed steady growth in revenue and trade facilitation.
