MWUN PG charges Greenview to give priority to workers’ welfare
The President-General of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has charged Greenview Development Nigeria Limited (GDNL), a port operation arm of Dangote Group, to continue with its “Workers’ Inclusiveness” policy while keeping an eye on the welfare of the workers at all times.
The MWUN President-General gave the charge when the GDNL management, led by Mr. Yakubu Abdullahi, the General Manager, paid a visit to him on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Union’s Secretariat in Olodi Apapa, Lagos.
The labour leader thanked the GDNL management for the visit and enthused that the Union would continue to uphold the existing relationship with Greenview.
He stressed that both organizations must be on same page, especially in the areas of protecting workers’ welfare, which, he said, is paramount to the Union, given Greenview status in the country’s maritime industry.
Speaking earlier, Mr. Yakubu Abdullahi congratuled Comrade Bunu on his election victory and affirmed Greenview unwavering support for him, believing that his labour-friendly ideologies and strong penchant for promoting workers’ welfare coasted him to a resounding victory on his election recently.
