The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Captain Chris Najomo, has bagged “Leadership Award in Transport and Logistics Governance” and “Distinguished Trailblazer’s Award in Transport and Logistics”.
The two awards were conferred on by the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) in recognition of his exceptional leadership and dedication to the aviation industry at the Nigeria Transport and Logistics Leadership Summit held in Abuja recently.
Dr. (Mrs.) Anastasia Gbem, Director of Human Resources and Administration at NCAA, received the awards on behalf of the DGCA.
In his goodwill message at the summit, themed “Building Sustainable Transport and Logistics Infrastructure in Nigeria: Current Trends and Future Insights,” Captain Najomo emphasized the importance of aviation in Nigeria’s economy, highlighting its role in facilitating global connectivity and trade, supporting economic growth and development, providing employment opportunities, and enhancing tourism and cultural exchange.
Industry stakeholders, policymakers, and dignitaries present at the award presentation ceremony commended Capt. Najomo’s commitment to excellence in aviation governance, describing the awards as well-deserved.
