NAMA wins National Integrity, Leadership, and Development Award
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has been bagged the National Integrity, Leadership, and Development Award as the Most Efficient Aviation Agency.
The Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment conferred the honour on NAMA in Abuja during the 2025 Summit and Awards in recognition of its exceptional commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in the aviation industry.
According to the organiser, the recognition highlights NAMA’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, ethics and professionalism in its operations.
According to the Centre, “NAMA’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability has set a new standard in the aviation industry, ensuring efficiency in its processes and overall safety in the Nigerian airspace. The agency’s excellent performance is a reflection of the exceptional leadership and management style of its MD/CE, Engr Ahmed Umar Farouk.”

The Centre also described the NAMA boss as “a visionary technocrat and reformer in the aviation sector who represents a rare blend of technical competence and ethical clarity,” stressing that “his transformational leadership has continued to strengthen Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure and institutional credibility.”
Also honoured was the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Dr. Abdullahi Musa, who won the Individual Integrity Award by same organization.
Dr Musa was recognized for his commitment to promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in NAMA’s relations with its customers, stakeholders and the general public, stressing that “his professionalism and dedication to promoting transparency and accountability in external communication have been instrumental in fostering a culture of trust and confidence among NAMA’s stakeholders and the travelling public.”
