NCAA reviews cargo and mail security challenges

Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has inaugurated the Air Cargo and Mail Security Review Committee to address persistent theft, delays and disorder affecting Nigeria’s air cargo and mail operations.

Inaugurating the committee in Abuja last week, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo, noted that strengthening cargo security is essential as Nigeria positions itself as the air cargo hub of West and Central Africa.

Represented by the Director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards, Engr. Godwin Balang, Najomo tasked the committee to review the current security operations, and recommended improvements to align with international best practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
