Nigeria set to launch e-visa system
The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to launch the e-visa system and also digitalise the landing and exits cards at the nation’s international airports.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the plan at a joint press briefing by the two ministers in Abuja yesterday.
Festus Keyamo made this known on his social media X.
According to the Aviation Minister, “We announced plans to launch the e-visa system and also to digitalise the landing and exits cards at our international airports.
“We also set up a joint team to work on the protocols that will be transmitted to airlines in this respect for the strict compliance.”
At the joint press briefing were the Director General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Chris Najomo; Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku; Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap and other top federal officials.
