The management and workers of the Nigerian Railway Corporation have collectively pledged to eliminate revenue leakages, boost internally generated revenue, and deepen commitment to the success of the Corporation.
Just as the Managing Director, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, restated management’s unwavering commitment to defending workers’ rights, prioritising safety, and ensuring timely promotion.
The pledge by the NRC management and staff was made during the Nigeria Union of Railway Workers’ third quarter town-hall meeting held at the NCR headquarters in Lagos.
“The Nigeria Union of Railway Workers committed to a culture of accountability and zero tolerance for sabotage. As a team, we understand that the path to better welfare and productivity begins with our shared responsibility to protect the system and uphold integrity at all levels.
“With over 3,500 workers promoted this year across levels, we are witnessing a renewed era of recognition, motivation, and hope.
“Together, we align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and are determined to reposition the Corporation for greater efficiency and prosperity.
“We move forward together, focused, united, and committed to building a railway system we all can be proud of,” said Opeifa.
The highlight of the day was the celebration of excellence, 10 workers were recognised with certificates of commendation for their dedication and outstanding service. We congratulate them and draw inspiration from their example.
