The National Single Window (NSW) Project Director, Mr Tola Fakolade, has emphasizing that collaboration between the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), DHL Aviation, and Avitech would significantly enhance the seamlessness of the go-live process of the National Single Window.

Mr. Tola Fakolade outlined the core principles of the NSW as follows:
• A single-entry point for documentation
• Single processing of submissions
• Single submission of manifests

The NSW Project Director stated this while providing an overview of the pilot endpoint at a meeting convened by the Directorate of Cargo Development and Services (DCDS) of FAAN at the request of the NSW team to engage DHL, a German-based logistics company, which will pilot air cargo submissions.

Fakolade also noted that the pilot phase serves as a valuable learning opportunity for all stakeholders.

He briefed the DHL team on the first phase of testing, which involves resolving any issues tied to submitting manifests through a single platform.

Mr. Lekan Thomas, Director of Cargo Development and Services, thanked the DHL team for their professionalism and collaborative approach.

This rollout forms part of the first phase of the Single Window, which goes live on Friday, March 27. The initiative is designed to transform how importers interact with government agencies that regulate their transactions.
