Cargo administrator and the Secretary General of the Association of lndigenous Bonded Terminals, Aare Haruna Omolajoomo, has been honoured with the prestigious traditional title of Chief Bobajiroro Olofin Maidan in lsheri Oniyanrin Mile 12, Kosofe Local Government, Lagos State.

At a colourful and well attended ceremony that came up at the Maidan Oniyanrin Palace on Friday 27th December, His Majesty, Kabiyesi Oba Adelana Babatunde Ogunjobi, Olofin Adimula of Maidan lsheri, in Mile 12, Lagos, noted that Omolajomo was one of the most well-meaning citizens of his kingdom and a man who is loved and respected by the community. He prayed that God Almighty will continue to bless him and the works of his hands.

Omolajomo’s public spirit nature has become a trait inevitable to people who come upon him. His long standing friend and colleague, Mrs Adejumoke Agboola, a secondary school principal, described him as a reliable and honest person who is sincere in all his engagements.
“He is a straight forward and decent percent person. We started together as teachers back in time, so l know him so well. You can always trust him. I rejoice with him on the occasion of this well deserved chieftaincy honour of Bobajiroro,” noted Agboola.

Another guest who is also a childhood friend, Alhaji Kamaldeen Akande, described Chief Haruna Omolajomo as a Relationship Manager. “He networks fast and brilliantly and means well for everybodyhe comes across. He can do anything to keep a friendship. He will go to any lengths to please you or meet your needs or expectations. I describe him as a Relationship Manager. It is his characters that fetched him this well deserved honour. Congratulations to my dear friend and brother,” he offered.

Speaking to PortNews, the new Bobajiroro noted that he felt honoured and appreciated by the Oba, the Oba- in – Council and the entire community of Oniyanrin Maidan to be honoured with such a high office as the Bobajiroro.

“A Bobajiroro means somebody who can approach, advise and generally relate with the Oba at all times, all for the sake of the progress of our community. This is not the first time l am being honoured here or elsewhere, but having come from Owo as a prince, I think l have acquitted myself creditably as a good ambassador of Owo in Lagos, “he explained excitedly.
