Tin Can Customs Command’s revenue collection surged to N154.4b in October

October 2025 was a good one for Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service as its revenue collection further peaked. In the month, the Customs command collected a total of ₦154,384,834,050.93k into the coffers of the government.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Chief Supretendent of Customs Oscar Ivara, this was the second highest revenue collection by the command after August 2025.

The statement noted that the command, in the month, also experienced greater performances in various areas of its operations especially since the introduction of the Unified Customs Management System, codenamed the B’Odogwu software platform.

In the statement, the Customs Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, had in August when the command recorded its highest revenue generation attributed the revenue breakthrough to the successful deployment of the B’Odogwu trade platform, which has significantly improved trade facilitation and enhanced revenue performance.

In the month of August 2025, the Command recorded its highest monthly revenue collection ever of ₦159 billion.

Comptroller Frank Onyeka praised the commitment of his officers and commended stakeholders for contributing to the achievement. Also, he appreciated Comptroller-General of Customs Adewale Adeniyi for recognising the efforts of officers of the command and granting his support in their activities.

“The Tin Can Island Port Command has fully keyed into the policy of collaboration, consolidation and innovation as espoused by the CGC and this has been a driving force in the activities of the Command this year,” the statement said.
