The theme of the trade fair, which is scheduled to hold from May 8 to 17, 2026 at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, is “Trading Without Borders: Empowering Businesses for Regional and Global Markets.”
The trade fair is positioned as a strategic platform to promote SMEs, attract investment, deepen cross-border trade, and reposition Badagry as a major commercial and logistics hub.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr. Babatunde Onigbanjo, conveyed the ministry’s full endorsement and support for the Trade Fair initiative when the BACCIMA President, Alhaji Yahaya Idris, led a BACCIMA delegation on a courtesy visit to the ministry.
“Notably, the Ministry agreed to work closely with BACCIMA through the setting up of a Joint Technical Committee, aimed at ensuring the successful planning and execution of the Trade Fair, while also developing broader strategies to unlock and harness the economic opportunities across the Badagry corridor,” said Onigbanjo on behalf of the Commissioner, Mrs Folasade Bada Ambrose.
