Encomium for Aare Asiwaju Haruna Omolajomo at 63

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, a seasoned freight forwarder, Aare Asiwaju Haruna Omolajomo, marked his 63 years on the mother earth. Professional colleagues, friends, religious leaders and well wishers, who joined him in the celebration in his office at Apapa, Lagos, showered encomium on him and described him as a good friend.

Aare Asiwaju Haruna Omolajomo, who is the General Secretary of Association of Bonded Terminals Operators of Nigeria, was full of praises to the Almighty Allah for the grace to witness this year’s celebration. He prayed to the Almighty Allah to continue to spare his life in order to fully achieve his life’s ambition.

According to Omolajomo who is the Bobajiroro of Maidan Kingdom, “this is another beautiful trip around the sun and I couldn’t be more excited for what is to come. As at present, I must enjoy myself to the fullest until I am 110 years old. Then death can come.”

Bishop Juba  Omosowone, General Overseer, Gospel Life Assembly of Christ, Olodi-Apapa, who acted as the chairman of the occasion, prayed  for High Chief Omolajomo for more wisdom, good health and abundant blessings. He showered encomiums on him as he told everyone present on how Chief Haruna Omolajomo touched so many lives in their university days .

He concluded that many of them would never forget, in a haste, the good work done to them. He therefore wished Chief Omolajomo more success, good health and abundant blessings.

In his exhortations, Comrade Giwa Fasasi Oyebola applauded Chief  Omolajomo for being steadfast, honest and sincere commitments in whatever he is doing. He clearly stated that “Chief Haruna Omolajomo’s easy going nature and simple character can only be a natural pull to a life and profession of compassion, empathy and discipline which is all about impact and not status, which is first, teaching and then shipping where he created his eponymic feats. He is stable, adventurous, creative and instructive. He is dependable and protective too.”

In his own words, Dr Idowu Olawolu, a secondary school mate of Omolajomo, described Chief Haruna Omolajomo as “a great leader, a trusted friend, a beloved brother and exceptional colleague. He is a man of remarkable influence, an outstanding mobilizer and one of the finest leaders and achievers. He has indeed touched many lives.”

In his contribution, Pastor Oluwatoyin Aisida said “Chief Haruna Omolajomo is a great patriot of this generation, an ebullient man who is well loved by his people. A community leader with a large heart of services, a devout religious leader and a competent man of faith . You are a colossus and trailblazer,an entrepreneur with indefatigable wisdom and a leading light in the maritime industry.”

Mrs Florence Olabisi Akanbi, another secondary school classmate, claimed that Chief Haruna Omolajomo is an exceptional individual- amazing, wonderful and reliable. She acknowledged “your tireless efforts have been instrumental in the various awards and various chieftaincy titles you have received.”

Aare Omolajomo children were not left out as they also showered encomiums on their father. Abdul-Hakeem Omolajomo said “Dad, today, I celebrate not just your birthday but the incredible man you are. Thank you for being an amazing father. I am proud of you sir. I am grateful for every lesson you taught me.”

Sheriff Omolajomo informed that Aare Omolajomo taught him how to be strong, and kind. Aishat Oyinade Omolajomo said she would ever be grateful to his father who taught what life is all about. “My dad has a listening ear and always stands for what is right and just.”

In his own contribution, Abdul-Hameed Omolajomo said he was proud of his dad for his total love, understanding, support and cooperation for his family and for his various commitments and selfless services to his community. This, he claimed, would continue to be a guide to him as well as inspiration to the future generations.

Rev’d Solomon Jesusanmi, a community leader in Agiliti has this to say about Chief Haruna Omolajomo “I am celebrating a remarkable leader, a community builder and a man of great sacrifice for his community . Thank you for the services to our community Agiliti and environs, your leadership and your unwavering commitments.”
