The immediate past Vice President General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Chris Eromosele, has passed away after a brief illness.
Comrade Chris Eromosele was a Vice President-General (VPG) of the Union until his retirement in 2025 after his meritorious service for more than 25 years.
Eromosele, before his glorious retirement, was a pragmatic trade unionist, whose career started from the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) in Lagos, and was of the NPA Branch of the Maritme Workers’ Union of Nigeria, where he had unblemished track record of service.
He was a committed executive member of the Union with passion for labour matters with good heart for humanity.
Speaking on his death, the President-General of the Maritme Workers’ Union of Nigeria, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, praised Comrade Eromosele over his selfless service to the Union. He said Chris was a man one can always thinker with in terms of conflict resolution while in the Union.
His funeral arrangements will be announced later by his immediate family.
