United Nigeria Airlines, Southwest Airlines sign aircraft purchase agreement

United Nigeria Airlines, one of Africa’s fastest-growing carriers, has signed a landmark aircraft sale and purchase agreement with Southwest Airlines for the delivery of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The signing took place in Dallas, USA on September 3, 2026.

This strategic acquisition and fleet expansion marks a new phase in United Nigeria Airlines’ strategic plan and growth.
