CP Maikaba commends MARAN over responsible reporting

The Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba has commended the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) over its responsible reportage of the maritime sector and activities of the police command.

CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba gave the commendation when the MARNA President, Mr. Godfrey Bivbere, led members of his executive on a familiarisation visit to him at the Command in Apapa Port, Lagos, recently.

Maikaba pledged a cordial working relationship with the association in the discharge of its statutory duty to the industry.

Earlier, MARAN President, Godfrey Bivbere stated that he and members of his executive were at the Command to familiarize themselves and show solidarity with the Commissioner of Police.

While assuring the CP of the association’s support, Bivbere pledged that activities and achievements of the command would be given wide coverage as the command plays a pivotal role in securing the gateway for international trade and foreign exchange earnings for the country.
