Customs collects N1.56 trillion revenue at Tin Can Island Port
The Tin Can Island Command, Nigeria Customs Service, has collected a sum of N1.56 trillion revenue into the Federation Accounts as of December 23, 2025.
The Command’s Controller, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, disclosed this positive development in Lagos today, describing it as a significant revenue milestone.
Onyeka said this huge revenue achievement exceeded the command’s target of over ₦1 trillion.
He attributed the success to the implementation of the B’Odogwu Trade modernization compliance management system and the support of stakeholders.

According to him, the command’s core mandate of revenue generation, national security, and efficiency drive have also contributed to the remarkable performance.
He listed bulk cargo, general merchandise, and the importation of used vehicles as significant contributors to the revenue collection.
“Multiple and unnecessary alerts have been streamlined to promote efficiency in the command. This development underscores the command’s commitment to improving its operations and enhancing revenue generation.
“The achievement is a testament to the command’s efforts to enhance revenue collection and trade facilitation,” said he.
