SIFAX Group pledges support for Port Police
The Chairman of SIFAX Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, says there is a need for all port stakeholders to support the operations of the Port Authority Police Command to ensure safety of lives, port infrastructure and guarantee conducive environment for legitimate commercial activities in the nation’s seaports.
Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, however, pledged that SIFAX Group would work with the Port Authority Police (Western) Command to strengthen security at the Lagos ports.
SIFAX Group Chairman made this pledge when the Commissioner of Police, Western Command, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Iyabode Agbaminoja, paid a visit to him at the corporate headquarters of the Group in Apapa, Lagos, on December 23, 2025.
Afolabi, who lauded the performance of Agbaminoja in her previous postings around the country’s maritime industry, pledged SIFAX Group’s support and cooperation for all the Command’s initiatives.
He said “SIFAX Group has built a solid relationship with CP Toyin Agbaminoja over the years, and we are glad on her new promotion which I believe is a demonstration of the Nigeria Police hierarchy trust in her ability to deliver value in the Lagos ports and beyond. Our company has a reputation for partnering with security agencies across the country because we believe security requires stakeholder collaboration for it to be effective and sustainable. SIFAX Group will continue to support the Port Authority Police Command.”
CP Oluwatoyin Iyabo Agbaminoja had earlier commended SIFAX Group for its impact in the industry and noted that the visit was to further strengthen the relationship between the company and the command due to the shared commitment of both institutions to maritime security.
