Flotilla Academy of Marine Technology (FAMT) has commended the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, for the choice of Dr Bolaji Akinola as his Media and Communications Adviser, describing the choice as a round peg in a round hole.

The Academy hailed Oyetola while congratulating Dr Bolaji Akinola, a seasoned maritime journalist, over his appointment, saying it has no doubts on his competence and capability to deliver excellently on the job.

The commendation and congratulations were contained in a press statement issued on Wednesday by the management of the academy and signed by its Technical Director, Engr Adakole Ejegbudu.

According to Engr Adakole, “Tlthe appointment of Dr Akinola underscores the Minister’s commitment and readiness to strengthening the Ministry’s communication framework and ensuring that the vision and achievements of the ministry are clearly and effectively articulated and communicated to relevant stakeholders and the general public.

“We have no doubt that Dr. Akinola, being a highly respected maritime and corporate communications expert, will bring over twenty-five years of extensive experience and deep industry knowledge to his new role to ensure that Oyetola succeeds in his mandate as the pioneer minister of the newly created Ministry of Marine and Blue economy.

“The Management of Flotilla Academy wishes him well and prays the Almighty to guide and lead him as he takes on this onerous task.”

Flotilla Academy of Marine Technology (FAMT) is a monotechnic dedicated to providing high-quality, industry-relevant diploma programs in four key areas of marine technology: Naval Architecture, Ship/Boat Building, Marine Surveying, and Marine Engineering.
